In House, a luxury hospitality and experiences collective, was set to launch a new and exclusive set of destinations, including Manka’s in Inverness, California. For a creative powerhouse in the world of high fashion and interior design, organic, unstaged imagery was essential for conveying the feeling of the luxurious experiences being offered.

Solution

Candid luxury. With a combination of naturally lit locations around the lodge and softly lit, slow-panning interiors, we created a visual language that echoes the client's unique “decrepit grandeur” directive, creating a sense of long-standing authenticity and simple beauty. A vintage cinematic approach was used to lend a sense of timelessness, feeling like a series of flashed memories from the serene countryside of the Northern California coast. A small production crew was used to move and react quickly to naturally occurring candid scenes while gathering as many moments as possible.
